Becoming a Sunflower

Hello everyone! My name is Anyiese Rosalie, and I am the founder of Always Supported. I am a single mother who was once told I would never have children, yet today I am blessed with two. My path to motherhood was marked by a high-risk pregnancy with my son, an unnecessary emergency cesarean, and a postpartum period filled with severe depression and anxiety. Navigating these hardships without support opened my eyes to the systemic disparities in maternal healthcare, especially for Black women.

Determined to change this narrative, I immersed myself in training and have built a strong, supportive community, which ultimately led to the natural water birth of my daughter. Through Always Supported, I am committed to providing compassionate and culturally responsive care so that no birthing person feels alone or unheard. My mission is to empower families. I advocate for equitable healthcare, by transforming my previous challenges and lived experiences into purposeful and intentional care for others.

Doula Philosophy

Founded to provide inclusive and culturally responsive doula support, Always Supported focuses on BIPOC families with specialities in:

  • First time births

  • High risk/special needs pregnancies (and/or siblings)

  • Cesarean births

  • Vaginal births after cesarean

  • Bereavement

    My approach combines heartfelt compassion with informed advocacy. Ensuring that every birthing person feels empowered, respected, and never alone in a system that too often overlooks our communities.
